An association dedicated to the maintenance and promotion of the Florida National Scenic Trail. The website contains a great deal of information about the FT, and maps of the trail can be purchased online.

Apalachee Chapter of the FTA

The local chapof the FTA, serving Leon, Gadsden, Wakulla, Franklin, Jefferson and Liberty counties. The website contains news about chapter activities, a schedule of upcoming events, information about local trails, and tips on hiking in Florida.

Florida Online Park Guide

A guide to the State Parks of Florida. Learn about the different parks, get information on fees and rules, and book a reservation.

Florida State Forests

A guide to the State Forests in Florida. Find forest maps, information on hunting seasons in the Wildlife Management Areas, and fee schedules for recreational activities.

Trailwalker Program

A section of the Florida State Forests website containing information on the Trailwalker Program. Hike the SF trails to earn a Trailwalker Patch. Website links to a complete list of trails in the SF system, some of which have maps in pdf format.

Florida Hikes!

A site maintained by Sandra Friend, author of the official guide to the Florida Trail and the 50 Hikes series for Florida, among other books. She has logged 2500 miles hiking on Florida Trails. The site includes a wealth of information on hiking in Florida. There are articles, blog entries, a store where you can purchase one of her books, and links to trail descriptions for some of the trails she has hiked. See also the My Florida Hikes area where members can blog, share photos, and carry on discussions in the forums. Highly recommended!
